Lotpot
Lotpot is a Hindi comic magazine published by the Mayapuri. Lotpot title was registered by Mr. A.P. Bajaj in 1969 and the first issue came out in the same year and has been published without a break since then. Initially it was a fortnightly magazine which later on switched to weekly mode.[1][2][3] Later on, the magazine also was published in English. The circulation of Hindi versions reached 175,000 and of English version to 225,000.[2]

The main comic strip characters of the magazine are :-
- Motu Patlu - Two friends, one fat (Motu) and another slim (Patlu), who were shown being involved in silly plots and were shown as idiots. The supporting characters with them were Master Ghasita Ram, Dr. Jhatka, Chela Ram, Dhela Ram and Anguthanand. Kripa Shankar Bhardwaj was the creator of these characters.[3] Most of the post-Bhardwaj features of Motu-Patlu in Lot-Pot were created by Harvind Makkad.
- Chacha Chaudhary, the famous and legendary cartoon character of Hindi comic strip, was created by Pran Kumar Sharma in 1969 for Lotpot magazine, though it made its first appearance in 1971 in Lotpot.[4]
- There were other comic strips, in the magazine of characters like Jasoos Chakram & Chirkoot, Deepu, etc.
In December 2010, Lotpot had tied up with Ajay Devgan's animation film for children Toonpoor Ka Superhero and has come out with six special editions of the Lotpot.[5]
