List of bolt action rifles

Bolt action rifles are recognized by that the user has to manually rotate the bolt for chambering and primary extraction. Bolt actions are distinct from other manual action types such as lever action, straight pull and pump action mechanisms. Most bolt action rifles have striker firing mechanism (without a hammer), and therefore generally have shorter lock times compared to other types of manual mechanisms mentioned.
