Shatner and Reeves-Stevens series (1995–2007)
Created by William Shatner, and co-written by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens. The series explores events following James Kirk's resurrection after his apparent death at the end of Generations (1994). Characters from the films and various television series appear in the novels. However, the continuity within the Shatner and Reeves-Stevens series is independent of all other book lines.
The novels have been marketed "as by William Shatner" by Simon & Schuster, and have not been given an official name. The colloquial name, "The Shatnerverse", was used by Memory Alpha and ISFDb in the recent past to differentiate the series from other book lines. Fans have organized the series into three trilogies: "Odyssey", named after the omnibus edition of the first trilogy of novels, followed by "Mirror Universe", and "Totality".
Academy (2007), a flagship series created by the Reeves-Stevenses, contains links to The Ashes of Eden (1995).

Excalibur (2000)
Star Trek: New Frontier – Excalibur miniseries follows the crew after the destruction of the Excalibur, and the apparent death of Calhoun. David originally proposed each novel title contain the prefix Excalibur, such as Excalibur: Restoration. Thought it was abandoned at the time of publication, some marketing materials and library catalogs followed this convention.
