Limoges, Ontario

Limoges, Ontario is a small community (population in 2016: 2048[2]) in The United Counties of Prescott and Russell approximately 35 kilometres (22 mi) east of Ottawa. The east and north sides of the community are located in the township of The Nation, while the west side of the community is located in the township of Russell.

The community has seen a population growth of 18.9% over its population in 2011.[2]

Transportation

Limoges is north of Exit 79 on Trans-Canada Highway 417. The village is situated between the towns of Casselman and Embrun and close to Larose Forest. Many parking lots to access the forest can be reached by driving through Limoges.

Economy

Limoges is home to Calypso Park, Canada's largest theme waterpark, Oasis Mini Golf, and Kittawa, a popular camping site.

Limoges now has a medical hub with a dentist office, pharmacy, Centre de santé communautaire de l'Estrie, and a large medical clinic with various doctors and specialist.

Recreation

Newly constructed in 2016, Limoges Tot Lot is the first park in the Nation Municipality that is accessible for all children. The soft tile rubber surface, made from recycled tires, is a soft and safe play surface.
