Scope
Light: Science & Applications publishes both pure and applied research in optics and photonics, covering both cutting-edge and conventional topics.[1] Subtopics appearing in the journal include small-scale optics, optical material processing, optics in life science and the environment, special optics, optical data transmission, optical measurement, optical materials, manufacture of optical elements, organic optoelectronics, and guided light.[1]
Light: Science & Applications does not publish manuscripts submitted by authors with Taiwanese affiliations containing "National" in the name of the institute, regardless of the scientific value and research quality. The corresponding author will receive a confidential email and be asked to remove the word "National" in the affiliations within 10 days. This policy is not explained nor disclosed in the Guide for Authors.[3]
