History
Laurette derives its name from Laura, the wife of a railroad official.[2]

gollark: You MAY have meant this ironically, but SQLite4 is actually publicly obtainable. It just isn't very good, because it was an experimental project to make SQLite3 run on arbitrary key-value stores which was cancelled.
