Personnel

gollark: Newer stuff might be horrifically complicated, but at least it's kind of partly designed with security in mind and we have ASLR and Rust and MMUs and whatever.
gollark: Oh, because THOSE have VERY robust software.
gollark: My phone still hasn't been patched for a very unspecific critical-level vulnerability in some Qualcomm "closed-source components", which is very !!FUN!!.
gollark: Computer systems, in general, are bad enough that if you don't keep up with patches ever few months your stuff is probably vulnerable to a few things, particularly old complex software like Wordpress.
gollark: It's just scanning for old poorly secured systems.
