As of the 2014-15 school year, the district and its one school had an enrollment of 355 students and 26.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.6:1.[1]

The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "GH", the third-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.[3]

For ninth through twelfth grades, public school students attend High Point Regional High School, which also serves students from Branchville, Frankford Township, Montague Township, Sussex Borough and Wantage Township (where the school is located).[4][5] As of the 2015-16 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 981 students and 91.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.8:1.[6]
