Career

Club

Ladale Richie currently plays for the Saint Ann club Mount Pleasant Football Academy in the Red Stripe Premier League. He previously played for Montego Bay United also in the Red Stripe Premier League and Village United, a local 2nd Division Team in Falmouth, Jamaica.[3] He featured in the 2015 CONCACAF Champions League group stage matches against D.C. United and Árabe Unido.[5]

International

He is a central defender for the Jamaican National Team the 'Reggae Boyz'. His preliminary invitation came in 2015, when he began training with the Jamaica Men's National Team, under then Coach Winfried Schäfer,[6] who was testing locally based players against the foreign invitees.

With the departure of Winfried Schäfer in September 2016, the new Coach Theodore 'Tappa' Whitmore decided to place emphasis on locally based players,[7] which saw Ladale Richie become a core part of the Reggae Boyz defense. He made his senior international debut for Jamaica in 2016. He featured in the 2017 Gold Cup Finals against the U.S. Men's National Team and the Semifinal win against Mexico.[8]

gollark: There are some issues with newlines in blockquotes.
gollark: As I said, I'm taking its lexer, which actually outputs a reasonably usable semi-parsed token stream.
