Krea University

Krea University is a liberal arts and sciences[1] private university located in Sricity, Andhra Pradesh, India. It was established in 2018[2] under the Andhra Pradesh Private Universities (Establishment and Regulation) (Amendment) Act, 2018.[3] The university was established with an initial investment of ₹750 crore (US$110 million) by a group of donors led by former Governor of the Reserve Bank of India Raghuram Rajan.[1] It was officially inaugurated in November 2018[4] It will initially run from the Institute for Financial Management and Research campus and later move to its own campus by 2020.

Admissions

Krea university follows a unique and holistic admissions process. Krea's admission process is solely merit based. They take in various parameters to understand the candidate better and then take a final decision on his/her candiditure. Admissions are a two stage process.In round 1 you are required to submit a 500 words personal statement, extra curricular activities, class scores and other standardized tests. Once a candidate is shortlisted in the first stage,you can avail for a financial assistance interview. Round 2 is the Krea immersion case(KIC). The students have to make a case study on the field and have to give a reflective essay on the case. Along with the reflective essay, the candidates have to give a Quantative exam followed by a group presentation .Finally students have a conversation with faculty ,which is more like a discussion rather than an interview.
