Konstantin Makarov
Konstantin Valentinovich Makarov (Russian: Константи́н Валенти́нович Мака́ров) (1931–2011) was a Soviet Navy Admiral of the Fleet[1]
- 1943 - Makarov completed the naval preparatory school
- 1949 - Entered the Soviet Navy
- 1953 - Graduating from the Baltic Higher Naval School, he served aboard diesel submarines in the Black Sea Fleet
- 1960 - He completed the Advanced Special Officers' Course
- 1963 - Appointed commanding officer of a diesel submarine
- 1967 - Completed the Naval Academy
- - Appointed commanding officer of a nuclear submarine, Northern Fleet
- 1971 - Chief of Staff of a Division of nuclear submarines, Northern Fleet
- 1972 - Commander, Division of nuclear submarines, Northern Fleet
- 1975 - Deputy Head, Operational Directorate, Main Navy Staff
- 1981 - Chief of Staff/1st Deputy Commander, Baltic Fleet
- 1985 - Completed the General Staff Academy
- 1985 - Commander, Baltic Fleet
- 1985-92 - Chief of Main Navy Staff/1st Deputy Commander-in-Chief, Navy
- 1989 - Promoted to Fleet Admiral
- 1992 - Retired
- 2011 - Died [2]
