Klaasje Hofstee
Klaasje Hofstee (born 16 September 1909 in Scherpenzeel, Weststellingwerf) was a Dutch female kortebaanschaatsen speed skater.[1]

Biography
Hofstee was born in Scherpenzeel, Weststellingwerf. In the winter of 1926-27 she participated at her first competition in Nijelamer. It was competition for boys and girst until 17 years old. Due to the low number of participates the competition, the boys and girls were combined into 1 competition. Hofstee won the competition and won a silver watch. Later she won a race for boys and girls in Oldeholtwolde. There are no other results known of her anymore of the 1926-27 and 1927-28 winter seasons. She competed at the 1933 Dutch national championships.[2]
In the 1928-29 winter she won five first prizes, with her biggest victory in Noordwolde winning f 20,-. She won also several prizes in competitions with men’s and women’s together. For instance in Kampen finishing second and winning f 60.-.
Her results between 1929 and 1932 are unknown. In the 1932-33 winter she won in Akkrum and Nijelamer. The highest prize money she won in Heerenveen in January 1933 where she finished second. In the races for the first place she was beaten by Sjoukje Bouma.
In the winter of 1933-34 she won several second and third prizes but did not win a competition. In Giethoorn she finished second, where she lost from Jans Lunnerink. On 17 December 1933 she finished third in Anna Paulowna, a competition won by Wapke Dam ahead of Janna van der Meulen.
She won as of December 1933 in total, 10 first prizes, 7 second prizes, 8 third prizes and 2 fourth prizes. She won total in prize money f 565,-; a medal; a spoon and a silver watch. She continued speed skating after 1933, but not having a complete overview of her results. In January 1940 she competed at Stiens, where she lost to Metje Nienhuis in three exciting races according to the newspaper.[3] In January 1941 she competed at Nijelamer where she won of Jeltje v. d. Weg but was beaten by Tjitske Hielkema. In the losing round she lost to Fokje van der Velde, finishing 6th (winning f 2.50).[4]
Once during her career she had an accident as the length after the finish was too short and fell. She couldn’t continue and had to recover at home for a several days.
