Mixed martial arts career

Early career

Sidelnikov made his professional debut in 2007, winning TKO from a head kick and follow up punches just 19 seconds into the first round.

After being defeated in his next bout due to a doctor stoppage, he returned to face 264-pound Polish fighter Martin Soltisyk. After weathering the early storm, Sidelnikov knocked Soltisyk out with an overhand right.

Sidelnikov fought for the first time on North American soil at Affliction: Day of Reckoning, losing to Paul Buentello. Following the fight Kirill Sidelnikov was suspended for testing positive for Stanozolol, and was fined $2,500. The mere presence of Stanozolol in the system constituted a violation under new testing procedures for the CSAC.

Sidelnikov claimed that the substance had been prescribed to him to recover from injury, and hence he maintains that he was unaware of his use of the banned substance. He is among the youngest fighters to compete in a major pay per view event in combat sport history.

On November 19, 2010, he participated in RCT: Russian Cities Tournament, held in Lipetsk, Russia, where he fought and defeated by unanimous decision Vladimir Kuchenko.

Bellator MMA

Sidelnikov faced Adam Keresh on November 15, 2018 Bellator 209.[1] He lost the fight via technical knockout in round one.[2]

Combat Sambo

Kirill has also been involved in combat sambo competitions, and in the Russian championships of 2009 he advanced to the semifinals, while in 2010 he advanced to the finals. Despite his progress in the finals, he was defeated by training partner Aleksander Emelianenko.[3]

On November 8, 2010, he became the new World Combat Sambo Champion.

Sidelnikov has won three medals at world combat sambo championships—gold in 2010[4] and 2012,[5] silver in 2011.[6] On February 27, 2011, he won the Russian Championship in Combat Sambo.

gollark: We have one in Chorus City.
gollark: It just tracks the speed difference between computer time (from `sleep(1)`) and UTC (from `os.epoch "utc"`), which gets it to within a few... TPS units generally.
gollark: It's actually not horrendously inaccurate, surprisingly.
gollark: Or use my patented TPS calculation algorithm™.
gollark: I also have a script to display TPS on your overlay glasses.
