Killymoon Castle
Killymoon Castle is a castle situated about one mile (1.6 km) south east of Cookstown, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, on the north bank of the Ballinderry River.[1] An 18-hole golf course has in recent years been built on the parkland, where British tournaments have been played.[2]
History
The original Killymoon Castle, which was built in 1671, burnt down in 1801. It was rebuilt in a larger version in 1803[1] to a design by John Nash. It is an asymmetrical structure with both round and square towers and Regency Gothic interiors.[3]
As of the 21st century, Killymoon Castle is a private residence, although a tea room has opened the castle to limited public visits.
gollark: One time someone on a server I was on accidentally blew up all of spawn with one due to a technical error in the computers controlling the reactor.
gollark: Also, the explosion is just silly.
gollark: The reactor is kind of cool but also does the DE thing of "haha big number good".
gollark: Particularly the whole "chaos guardian" thing, which is just ridiculous - it's a boss with an attack which *instantly kills you*, except DE armour can magically save you from death for a lot of power, so you're forced to use that.
gollark: It's just "what if we take things, and make them have bigger numbers?!??!!¡ ̇¡ ̇¡ ̇⅛ ̇" ̇!¡ ̇¡ ̇?!!".
