Club career

He joined Russian club FC Lokomotiv Moscow on loan on 15 February 2019.[1]

He made his Russian Premier League debut for FC Lokomotiv Moscow on 10 March 2019 in a game against FC Anzhi Makhachkala as an 86th-minute substitute for Jefferson Farfán.[2]

On 1 July 2019, Lokomotiv announced that he left the club after his loan expired.[3] Following that, Lokomotiv manager Yuri Semin said he was very disappointed after they couldn't agree on a permanent transfer with Kvaratskhelia as Semin considered him extremely talented.[4]

On 6 July 2019, he signed a 5-year contract with the Russian club Rubin Kazan.[5] In his first game for Rubin on 15 July 2019, which happened to be scheduled against his previous club Lokomotiv, he came on as a substitute in the second half and scored an equalizer that established the game's final score of 1–1. His second goal for Rubin was a late equalizer again to establish 1–1 score, this time in added time on 30 November 2019 against FC Akhmat Grozny.

International

He made his debut for Georgia national football team on 7 June 2019 in a Euro 2020 qualifier against Gibraltar, as a starter.[6]
