Khal-Naaikaa

Khal-Naaikaa (transl. Lady Villain; Hindi: खल नायिका) is a 1993 Hindi-language thriller film, produced and directed by Saawan Kumar under the Saawan Kumar Productions banner.[2] It stars Jeetendra, Jayaprada, Anu Aggarwal in the lead roles and music composed by Mahesh - Kishore. It is loosely based on the 1992 Hollywood film The Hand That Rocks the Cradle.[3][4][5][6]

Plot

Ravi Kapoor (Jeetendra) lives a wealthy lifestyle with his wife Jaya Kapoor (Jayaprada), a daughter and a newborn baby boy. Once Jaya has to consult the famous gynecologist Dr. Rajan Bakshi (Puneet Issar), who during the examination, tries to molest her, but she manages to escapes. Ravi and Jaya expose Dr. Rajan with the help of their journalist friend Varsha Sharma (Varsha Usgaonkar). When the police try to arrest him, Dr. Rajan commits suicide, leaving behind his pregnant wife Anuradha R. Bakshi (Anu Aggarwal). Anuradha then suffers a miscarriage, and unaware of her husband's misdemeanour, blames Jaya for wrecking their happy married life. Years later, when Jaya decides to appoint a governess for her daughter, Anuradha takes up the offer under the name of Kiran and soon things in the Kapoor family start going wrong. Her real mission is to make Jaya suffer. How does the innocent Jaya face up to the evil Anuradha, forms the rest of the story. Although not credited, the story resembles that of the English movie "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle" (1992).
