Kevin Honan
Kevin G. Honan is an American state legislator serving in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. He is a Brighton resident and a member of the Democratic Party.[1] Prior to representing Allston-Brighton in the legislature, Representative Honan served his community by coordinating Summer Youth Employment Programs in Boston and working at ABCD educating low-income and elderly residents on weatherization and fuel assistance programs.

Throughout his tenure, Representative Honan has remained committed to maintaining the health of Allston-Brighton, one of the most diverse and dynamic neighborhoods in the City of Boston. As a legislator, Representative Honan served on various committees, including:

Representative Honan’s career is highlighted by several notable legislative accomplishments. As a housing production and preservation policy expert, Representative Honan is deeply committed to ensuring every person in Massachusetts has a safe and affordable place to call home. He is the leading advocate for the expansion of rental housing vouchers each year during the state budget process. In addition to authoring a $1.8 billion affordable housing bond bill in 2018—the largest in Massachusetts history— he also authored landmark public housing governance reform legislation, signed into law August 2014.
Representative Honan resides in Brighton with his wife Colleen and his daughter Molly, who is currently attending college.
