Kevin "slow jammin" james

Kevin "Slow Jammin" James (born on January 8, 1954 in Pennsylvania), is an American radio DJ and broadcast personality. Kevin began his radio career in Frederick, MD after a distinguished 4 year Army career as an Counterintelligence Special Agent.

Career

Kevin has worked at WPGC, WKYS, MAGIC 102.3, and WHUR in the Metro DC area. It is at WKYS where he developed the Slow Jam Radio Format under the tutelage of Program Director Donnie Simpson in 1983. [1] In 1990 Kevin moved 3,000 miles to Los Angeles and in 1990 and began his well know West Coast career at the world-famous 92.3 KKBT THE BEAT. He now is housed at Snoop Dogg's Compound doing his storied Slow Jam show on Snoop's Cadillacc Music on Dash Radio.

Starting in 1994, Kevin has released a series of popular CDs called Slow Jams: The Timeless Collection for Capitol Records as well as "The Dramatics - Greatest Slow Jams" for Stax Records.[2]
