History

Kenya Make a Difference became affiliated with the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse in April 2012, after a trip of eight UW-La Crosse students traveled to Kenya in January.

During January 2012, Kenya Make a Difference handed out clothes to rural families, constructed a swing set for Kiptenden Elementary School in Nakuru, Kenya, and built an addition to a classroom at Soar Kenya Academy, an elementary school in Barut, Kenya.[2][3][4]

In January 2013, Kenya Make a Difference led a trip to the village of Barut, Kenya. Volunteers built a new kitchen and donated school supplies to Nine Stones, a privately run primary school. The volunteers also distributed clothing and hygiene items to families in the surrounding area and spent time helping at the Haven of Hope orphanage in Nakuru.

gollark: In lua, it's a dynamically typed mess with unreliable semantics, so...
gollark: Plus probably those haddock comments or whatever.
gollark: In haskell it's mostly OK to use short names, because you have type signatures.
gollark: So people actually know what it means?
gollark: Should it not be called `tileSurvivable` or something?
