Born in Tilburg,[1] he began his career at Willem II.[2] After a spell with RBC,[1] he later played for AZ between 1994 and 2000, scoring 56 goals in 177 appearances in all competitions.[2] He was top scorer of the Eerste Divisie in the 1995–96 season.[2] Although a fan's favourite at AZ,[1][2] his time there was marred by injury.[1] He had an unsuccessful trial with English club Reading in 1998.[1] He retired from professional football in 2004, after playing with MVV.[2] After retiring, he worked as a coach at Willem II,[2] and played amateur football for USI'19 and WSC Waalwijk.[1]

Personal life

He has one son and two daughters.[2] In 2011, he was living in Oisterwijk, where he worked in the building trade.[2]

gollark: And remote work and associated tooling would probably be further along.
gollark: We might have had somewhat better medical technology to combat it with initially, I guess.
