John Hendy (American football)

John Hendy is a former professional American football player who played defensive back for one season for the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League. He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the 3rd round (69th overall) of the 1985 NFL Draft. He was voted First Team NFL All-Rookie at cornerback in 1985 was also named AFC Player of the Week 14 for his 2 interception game, including returning one 75 yards for a touchdown, against the Buffalo Bills. He was named First Team All PCAA at cornerback and to the 1984 AP All American Football Team.
