Joey Lina
Jose D. Lina Jr., better known as Joey Lina, is a former governor of Laguna and is a former senator of the Philippines.[1]

Early life
He was born Jose D. Lina Jr. on December 22, 1951 in Masapang, Victoria, Laguna.[1]
Personal life
He is married to Loretta Atienza, with whom he has six children. He is also known for being part of the Three tenors alongside fellow government officials Bayani Fernando and the Late General Angelo Reyes[1]
Educational life
Prior to finishing law in the top 10 of his Class in the University of the Philippines in 1979 and passing the Bar Exams in 1980, Lina had obtained an AB Economics degree from the University of Santo Tomas in 1975.[1]
Career
Lina has filled 338 bills and was responsible for several landmark measures including the Urban Development and Housing Act of 1992 and the creation of the Philippine Sports Commission.[1] He is currently the anchor of DZMM Sagot Ko Yan Program, aired every Sunday morning.
Political life
Lina was the youngest member of the Senate from 1987 to 1992. He was elected governor of Laguna and served from 1995 to 2001. He was Secretary of the Department of Interior and Local Government.[1] He is at present the president of Manila Hotel.[2]
