Jehangir Wadia

Jehangir Nusli Wadia (born 6 July 1973), also known as Jeh Wadia, is an Indian businessman, who is the Managing Director of Go Air, Bombay Dyeing and Bombay Realty. He is also a Director on the Boards of Britannia Industries, The Bombay Burmah Trading Corp. Ltd, Wadia Techno – Engineering Services Limited & others. He is a part of the business prominent Wadia family, through his grandfather Neville, and the politically important Jinnah family, through his grandmother Dina Jinnah. He is particularly known for being the great-grandson of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan.[2]

Life and career

Jehangir (also known as Jeh) was born in Mumbai to businessman Nusli Wadia and former air hostess Maureen Wadia. He has one brother, Ness Wadia, who is a businessman. His grandparents were businessman Neville Wadia and Dina Jinnah. Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, and his wife Rattanbai Petit are his great grandparents. Jehangir, his brother and father are the direct and only descendants of Jinnah and his family. Jehangir did his initial schooling at the Lawrence School in Sanawar and moved to a boarding school in England to complete his graduation. Jehangir earned a master's degree in science from the Warwick University in England.

Wadia is married to Celina since 2003 who is from Australia, they met in London and have two children together, Jr. Jahangir and Ella.[3] Celina runs her own fashion line] under the brand name C Femme.

Wadia is the managing director of GoAir, (which founding in 2005) which is India’s most trusted, punctual and fastest-growing budget airline. Under his able stewardship, GoAir has been rated four-out-of-four stars by 1.4 million passengers in a survey conducted by US-based APEX, a non-profit membership trade organization comprising the world’s leading airlines, industry suppliers, major media groups and related aviation industry leaders. Wadia has been spearheading all his operations, with a hands-on management style. He leads from the front with an eye for detail on every aspect of the business - The World Economic Forum elected him as a Young Global Leader in the year in 2008. Wadia is the Managing Director of Go Airlines Ltd, BombayBombay Dyeing Ltd and its real estate division Bombay Realty. He is also a Director on the Boards of Britania Britannia Industries Limited, The Bombay Burmah Trading Corp. Ltd, Wadia Techno – Engineering Services Limited & others. Additionally in his personal life Wadia is a fully devoted to Hinduism and Islam. His wife an original Christian converted to Islam. However, unlike his brother he doesn't take drugs and is known to be a very healthy man who tends to favor his mother country India more. However, he is liberal and is very nice person.
