Background

Todd was born in Hermosa Beach, California. Although born in the United States, her first spoken language was Japanese, taught by her mother. In her youth, Todd trained and competed in gymnastics, but later gave up the pursuit due to wanting a balance with her personal life.

After beginning cardio kickboxing classes, Todd’s then-boyfriend, now-husband, introduced her to a Muay Thai gym. She got a taste for the sport and never looked back.[2]

Muay Thai career

Todd first competed in amateur competition in 2009. She won the bout by TKO, but would not return to competition until 2013. The talented striker developed her game largely in California during the early stages of her development.

In 2017, Todd captured bronze at the IFMA World Championships and World Games. Her biggest accolade was an IFMA Pan-American Championship. She would later win gold at the 2017 IFMA Pan American Championships at 51 kg.

ONE Championship

On February 22, 2019, Todd made the leap to ONE Championship to compete for the ONE Atomweight Muay Thai world title against Stamp Fairtex. She would lose by unanimous decision, but joined the top promotion in her field.[3]

She returned to ONE Championship on May 10, 2019. Under kickboxing rules, she defeated Wang Chin Long by TKO in the second-round.[4]

On July 12, 2019, in another kickboxing match, Todd defeated Chuang Kai Ting by majority decision at ONE Championship: Masters of Destiny.[5]

On October 13, 2019, fighting under Muay Thai rules, she defeated Ekaterina Vandaryeva by second-round knockout with a highlight-reel head kick at ONE Championship: Century.[6]

Todd will face Stamp Fairtex a second time, this time fighting for the ONE Kickboxing Atomweight World Championship, at ONE Championship: King of the Jungle on February 28, 2020.[7] After five rounds, Todd would win the ONE Atomweight Kickboxing Title by split decision.

gollark: I don't know if I've ever actually smelt ozone. It doesn't sound like I'm missing out much though.
gollark: Marmite is great! I particularly enjoy marmite rice cakes, but there seem to be supply issues now.
gollark: It's a rust port of this (https://github.com/TomSmeets/FractalArt), going on my github once I finish writing documentation.
gollark: On a semihemirelated note, I finally fixed my port of FractalArt to Rust, so I can generate these nice pictures quite fast.
gollark: Hard work doesn't make something inherently good.
