Janata Samajbadi Party

The Janata Samajbadi Party, Nepal, abbr. JSP-N (Nepali: जनता समाजवादी पार्टी, नेपाल, translation: People's Socialist Party, Nepal) is a newly formed political party in Nepal by the merger of the two key Madhesh based parties in Nepal, the Samajbadi Party, Nepal, led by duo presidents Baburam Bhattarai (ex-Prime Minister) and Upendra Yadav (ex-Vice Prime Minister), and the Rastriya Janata Party Nepal, led by 6-membered president panel including Mahantha Thakur, Rajendra Mahato, Sarad Singh Bhandari, Anil Kumar Jha, Mahendra Raya Yadav, and Rajkishor Yadav.

With 34 among 275 seats in the lower house House of Representative and 3 among 59 seats in the upper house National Assembly, the new party is the third-largest political party in the Federal Parliament of Nepal after the Nepal Communist Party and the Nepali Congress.

It uses the flag of former Samajbadi Party, Nepal and the election symbol of former Rastriya Janata Party Nepal.[1] [2]
