Jake Crawford

Rufus "Jake" Crawford (March 20, 1928 – October 21, 2008) was a Major League Baseball outfielder who played in seven games for the St. Louis Browns in 1952.

Crawford signed with the Browns in 1949 and made his major league debut on September 7, 1952. He was traded to the Detroit Tigers on October 27, 1952, but would never again appear in a major league game.

Crawford was a member of the U.S. Air Force and after his baseball career, he worked for the Fort Worth Police Department. He died on October 21, 2008.[1]
