Invitation (EP)

"Invitation" is the debut extended play by the South Korean singer Ailee. It was released on October 16, 2012. The songs "Heaven" and "I'll Show You" were used for promote the EP.

Release and promotion

The mini album contains 6 tracks.[1] It was produced by producers such as Kim Do Hoon, Lee Hyun Seung, Park Guentae, Duble Sidekick, Wheesung, and featured artists such as Verbal Jint, Swings and Simon D.[2]

On February 6, the music video teaser for Ailee's debut song, "Heaven", was released. "Heaven" was written and produced by Wheesung.[3] On the 9th, Ailee released the song and the music video, which featured Beast's Gi Kwang.[4][5] Later that day, she made her debut stage performance of "Heaven" on M.net M! Countdown,[6] and then on SBS Inkigayo on February 11.[7]

On October 16, Ailee released her music video for her title track of the mini album, “I’ll Show You“, which featured MBLAQ's G.O. In addition to the music video, she also released her mini album called 'Invitation.'[8] On October 18, Ailee made her comeback with "I'll Show You"" on M! Countdown.[9] On November 23 Ailee won her very first ever music show award on KBS Music Bank for "I'll Show You".[10]

"I'll Show You" debuted at number 6 on South Korea's Gaon Singles Chart. A week later, the song jumped to number 3 on Gaon Single Chart. "I'll Show You" achieved its highest debut on the K-Pop Hot 100, where it charted at number 2 for two weeks.

On December 7, 2012 Ailee has officially begun follow up promotions with “Evening Sky“ on KBS's Music Bank.[11]
