Iioka Station

Iioka Station (飯岡駅, Iioka-eki) is a railway station on the Sōbu Main Line in Asahi, Chiba, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East).

Iioka Station is served by the Sōbu Main Line, with Shiosai limited express services between Tokyo and Chōshi also stopping at this station.[1] It is located 109.2 rail km from the western terminus of the Sōbu Main Line at Tokyo Station.

History

Iioka Station opened on 1 June 1897.[2] The station was absorbed into the JR East network upon the privatization of the Japanese National Railways (JNR) on 1 April 1987.[2]
