Career

Tanko was born in Ghanaian capital Accra.[2] In January 2016, Ghana Premier League outfit WAFA signed Tanko.[3] He made his professional debut on 20 February against Asante Kotoko, which was followed by his first goal versus Ebusua Dwarfs on 24 April.[1] That was his sole goal in thirteen appearances during 2016.[1][4] Then, Tanko had a spell with Mighty Jets of Nigeria.[3][5] On 21 August 2017, Serbian SuperLiga side Red Star Belgrade completed the signing of Tanko.[6] August 2018 saw Tanko leave on loan to Bežanija of the Serbian First League.[7]

Following his release from Red Star at the end of the 2018/19 season, Tanko joined Mladost Lučani on a three-year deal.[8][1]
