History

The school opened on July 20, 1985 with an enrollment of 150 students. It has since expanded to boast an enrollment of over 1,500 students, encompassing over 40 different nationalities. Primarily since 2017, ISG Dammam has been repeatedly received backlash, due to tuition fees rising to unfavorable rates among many parents. Some theorize that the school is a "for profit" institution, due to these rumors, along with alleged injustices faced by students. In March 2020, in accordance with the COVID-19 Pandemic and the directive from the Ministry of Education, education went digital and the school is scheduled to open virtually on August 24, 2020. The school is expected to have a reduced budget the following semester, since many staff members were laid off, notably arising from COVID-19's financial pressures on many families. [2] Enrollment has since increased to over 1,300 students.

Curriculum

The school is based on the ISG adopted American curriculum. Staff and students use U.S. texts and materials. In addition to the core academic program which includes Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, Arabic Culture, and Physical Education, the school's curriculum also includes a Global Language program that offers Arabic, French, Hindi, and Urdu. Other specialized programs offered at ISG - Dammam include Technology, English as an Additional Language (EAL), and a robust after-school activities program. ISG Dammam is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. It is licensed by the Saudi Ministry of Education and is a part of the International Schools Group (ISG).

In a sane system they would need to store something like four values.- "eSIM" things are just reprogrammable soldered SIM cards because apparently nobody thought of doing it in software?!- phone towers are routinely spoofed by law enforcement for no good reason and apparently nobody is stopping this- phone calls/texts are not end to end encrypted, which is practical *now* if not when much of the development of mobile phones and whatever was happening- there are apparently a bunch of exploits in the protocols linking phone networks, like SS7

gollark: The widget thing sounds cool. I think you could actually do it as an external webserver thing instead of a plugin, since IIRC Minecraft servers have some sort of external reporting protocol.
