Hylexetastes
Hylexetastes is a genus of birds in the Dendrocolaptinae subfamily.

The genus contains the following species:[1]
- Bar-bellied woodcreeper (Hylexetastes stresemanni)
- Red-billed woodcreeper (Hylexetastes perrotii)
- Uniform woodcreeper (Hylexetastes uniformis) – split from H. perrotii
- Brigida's woodcreeper (Hylexetastes brigidai) – described in 1995
However, a phylogenetic study found support for at least five evolutionary species in Hylexetastes: the four species above and H. undulatus (currently included in the Bar-bellied woodpecker).[2]
