Hiroko Utsumi
Hiroko Utsumi (内海紘子, Utsumi Hiroko) is a Japanese anime director, animator, storyboard artist, and mangaka. She is best known for her work with Kyoto Animation, particularly as the original director of Free!, and for her later work at MAPPA, where she directed Banana Fish. She is a graduate of the Osaka Municipal College of Design.[1]

gollark: Anyway, the convention here is seemingly to live near university while going there and shove some of the cost onto student loans you're forced to pay back for 30 years, so commuting isn't a huge issue.
