Hinduism in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Hinduism is a minority faith in Bosnia-Herzegovina,represented mainly by the ISKCON movement.

In the former Yugoslavia, the ISKCON movement has been present since the 1970s and has existed in Bosnia-Herzegovina since 1988. It was officially registered as a religious community in 2005. There is an organized community in Sarajevo and there are also members in other cities.[1][2]ISKCON has about 300[3]-500[4] members.

ISKCON's Food for life was famous in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During war period in Bosnia and Herzegovina, ISKCON devotees in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina visited orphanages, homes for the elderly, hospitals, institutes for handicapped children, and basement shelters daily, throughout the three year conflict. An estimated 20 tons of food has been distributed in Sarajevo since 1992.
