The show follows the same format as Hiragana Oshi, which featured the same people and occupied the same time slot. The current show began when Hinatazaka46 (then called Hiragana Keyakizaka46) changed their name.[1] Hinatazaka de Aimashō also airs in a larger area than the previous show.[2]

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, starting from the 17 May 2020 episode, the program transitioned from recording in a studio to recording remotely via Zoom.[3]
