In December 2017, the band announced a "flipped" version of Heartworms to be released on January 19, 2018. The album contains the same songs as Heartworms but reinterpreted. According to Mercer, slow songs are played fast, quiet songs louder, fast songs slower and loud songs quieter.[31] The track listing also mirrors the track listing from the first album, but in reverse.[31]
