Critical reception

The Washington Post wrote that "the unwavering intensity of DeBarge's voice, even in the highest octaves, gives his claims of tender devotion a rare credibility."[6] Vibe praised DeBarge's collaborations with Babyface, writing that "while Heart, Mind and Soul might not find a star fully reborn, most of its better tracks point to the inception of a promising partnership."[7]

gollark: I don't see why you would want to.
gollark: Lakefield is *specifically* for low-power devices, it's not going to *perform better* than monolithic things.

gollark: I've heard of Lakefield. But in most cases I don't think space is such a priority that you need this.
