Harrison Jones (born 15 March 1999) is a professional Australian rules footballer with the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Jones was recruited to Hawthorn with selection 7 in the 2018 AFL rookie draft.

    AFL Career

    Wodonga resident Harry Jones was drafted by Hawthorn.[1] Jones was recruited as a midfielder but the club has helped him develop his defensive game. His first year at Box Hill end with the need for shoulder surgery.[2] In his second year on the list in 2019, Jones was a pre-season stand-out, He was expected to make his senior debut but a season ending knee injury (PCL) put a stop to that.

    Jones made his AFL debut in round 5, 2020, against Greater Western Sydney at the Spotless Stadium.

    Personal life

    Jones is currently studying a Bachelor of Business at Deakin University.[3]
