Guraidhoo (Kaafu Atoll)
Guraidhoo (Dhivehi: ގުރައިދޫ) is one of the inhabited islands of Kaafu Atoll in the Maldives.

Geography
The island is 30.77 km (19 mi; 17 nmi) south of the country's capital, Malé.[2] Guraidhoo is less than 1 km (0.62 mi) long and wide. It is located in South Malé Atoll. Guraidhoo is about 31 km (19 mi) from Male Airport - the only way you can reach it is by boat. Wildlife includes birds and bats. There are no dogs on the island but a few cats.

Economy
Infrastructure
Guraidhoo has about 1800 locals but the population can rise to over 2500 as Guraidhoo is also home for special needs people, and has the only mental hospital in Maldives. There are many shops that sell the basic necessities and a few big souvenir shops as well.
Sport
Guraidhoo is a local island, geographically recognized for its famous surfing and turtle snorkeling, dolphins, sand banks, and diving spots.
