Housemates

On Day 1 (October 26, 2009) 16 housemates entered the Grande Fratello house; that same night potential housemates Luca Magnani and Alessia Giovagnoli lost the chance to enter the house by losing a public vote and the housemates vote, respectively. On Day 8 (November 2, 2009), Gabriele, Mauro, and Veronica entered the house followed by Daniele and Mattia on November 23, 2009 (Day 29). Day 43 (December 7, 2009) welcomed Sarah and Dominique. On Day 64 (December 28, 2009), the housemates saw the return of Alessia who was evicted by the male housemates back on Day 1 and the addition of Nicola Pappalepore. On Day 85, Gianluca Bedin entered as the last housemate of the edition.

Alberto

Alberto Baiocco was born on August 6, 1983, Italy and entered the house on Day 1. On the final day (Day 134), he ended on 4th place. Inside the house he formed a relationship with Mara.

Alessia

Alessia Giovagnoli, born on January 31, 1984, is a female housemate who had the opportunity to enter the house on Day 1; Grande Fratello let the male housemates decide whether she or Cristina should stay; Alessia was unanimously evicted. She returned on Day 64. After almost being evicted against Daniele in a 51%-49% vote on Day 85, Alessia was eventually evicted three weeks later on Day 106 against Mauro with 69%.

Camila

Camila Sant'Ana was born on January 16, 1985, and entered the house on Day 1. Camila was evicted on Day 29.

Carmela

Carmela Gualtieri was born on July 8, 1977, and entered the house on Day 1. She formed a relationship with George. On Day 70, Carmela and Massimo were selected to be part of a Housemate Exchange with the Gran Hermano (Spain) house. On Day 113, Carmela was evicted with 58% in a seven-person public vote.

Carmen

Carmen Andolina was born on August 30, 1989, and entered the house on Day 1.

Cristina

Cristina Pignataro was born on April 14, 1983, and entered the house on Day 1. On Day 134, she ended up in 3rd place and the longest female housemate to ever stay in the house, in all seasons.

Daniela

Daniela Caneo was born on March 13, 1977, and entered the house on Day 1 and was evicted on Day 15.

Daniele

Daniele Santoianni was born on June 21, 1981, and entered the house on Day 29. On Day 50, he was evicted by the female housemates but returned to the house after receiving more save votes from the public. He was evicted, for real this time, on Day 85 with 51% of the public vote, the closest eviction between two housemates in the history of Grande Fratello.

Davide

Davide Vallicelli was born on September 4, 1980, and entered the house on Day 1. Davide was evicted on Day 22.

Diletta

Diletta Franceschetti was born on January 12, 1980, and entered the house on Day 1. Diletta was evicted on Day 43.

Dominique

Dominique La Rosa was born on December 8, 1984, and entered on Day 43 and evicted on Day 64.

Gabriele

Gabriele Dario Belli, born on October 7, 1971, is a male housemate who entered on Day 8. Gabriele is a trans man. He was evicted on Day 36 with 53% of the public vote.

George

George Leonard was born on February 8, 1982, and entered the house on Day 1. He formed a relationship with Carmela. He was evicted on Day 78 with 59%.

Gianluca

Gianluca Bedin, born on June 22, 1973, is a male housemate who entered on Day 85. On Day 113, despite being nominated for eviction for the week, he left the house due to personal reasons; him leaving did not affect the public vote as it was revealed he only received 4% of the public vote.

Giorgio

Giorgio Ronchini was born on June 16, 1983, and entered the house on Day 1. He was the second evictee on Day 64 as part of a double eviction, however, the surprise was that only one person would be evicted; as Dominique received the most votes from the public, she was evicted over him. On Day 134, the finale, Giorgio finished as runner up of the edition with 20% of the final vote.

Maicol

Maicol Berti was born on February 22, 1987, and entered the house on Day 1.

Mara

Mara Adriani was born on March 7, 1987, and entered the house on Day 1.

Marco

Marco Mosca was born on February 22, 1991, and entered the house on Day 1. He was evicted on Day 71.

Massimo

Massimo Scattarella was born on May 14, 1975, and entered the house on Day 1. On Day 70, Massimo, along with Carmela, were selected to be part of a Housemate Exchange with the Gran Hermano (Spain) house. In Week 13, during a conversation with Veronica, Massimo said a blasphemous comment which can be considered as offensive to the Italian public; during the following eviction show which saw Sarah evicted on Day 92, Grande Fratello announced that Massimo would be ejected for the comment.

Mattia

Mattia Mor, born on June 1, 1981, is a male housemate who entered on Day 29. He was evicted on Day 50 with 33% of the public vote.

Mauro

Mauro Marin, born on July 21, 1980, is a male housemate who entered on Day 8. He was scheduled to enter during the premiere of this season but he was put on hold for talking with a previous Grande Fratello housemate. He was in the center of many house arguments particularly with Massimo. In the last 7 weeks, it has been announced that he has topped many polls and votes which make him favourite to win the series and has survived 5 evictions, much to the anger of the other housemates. Despite being disliked in the house, Mauro was announced as the winner of Grande Fratello 10 on Day 134 with 80% of the public vote.

Nicola

Nicola, born on August 17, 1984, is a male housemate who entered on Day 64. He was evicted on Day 99 with 47%.

Sabrina

Sabrina Passante was born on November 9, 1987, and entered the house on Day 1. Sabrina was evicted on Day 22.

Sarah

Sarah Nile, born on October 10, 1985, is a female housemate who entered on Day 43; she has posed for the Italian version of Playboy. In Week 13, she was nominated alongside the love of her life in the house, Veronica; Sarah was evicted on Day 92 with 51%, which tied the closest eviction percentage with Daniele from the previous week and Maria from the first series

Tullio

Tullio Tomasino was born on July 12, 1986, and entered the house on Day 1 and was evicted on Day 57.

Veronica

Veronica Ciardi, born on July 13, 1985, is a female housemate from Rome, Italy, who entered on Day 8. She has formed a relationship with Marco, Massimo, Mauro, Daniele, and Sarah. However, it was her love for Sarah that evoked true amore. Stating that Signorini was correct, and that her "first real passionate kiss" in the house was between herself and Sarah. Veronica was evicted on Day 120 against Mauro.

Housemate Exchange

On December 17, 2009, the Spanish Big Brother Gran Hermano 11 revealed a housemate exchange with another country will take place. It was revealed the exchange will be with Grande Fratello; the decision most likely comes as the television station that programs the Spanish and Italian versions of Big Brother are owned by the same company, Mediaset. On December 29, during the spin-off show of Gran Hermano: El Debate, it was shown to the Gran Hermano housemates that the Italian housemates taking part of the exchange will be Carmela and Massimo; they arrived at the Gran Hermano house on January 3, 2010; that same night it was announced that the Gran Hermano housemates involved in the exchange are Saray and Gerardo. The Gran Hermano housemates arrived the next day in the Grande Fratello house (Day 71) and stayed till January 9 (Day 77). Carmela and Massimo left the Gran Hermano house early January 10 and returned to the Grande Fratello house on January 11 (Day 78) during the eviction show.

Notes:

  • ^1 On launch night there was an uneven number of housemates to enter the house, as a result of this Big brother nominated Alessia and Cristina for an immediate eviction. It was up to the male housemates to vote for which they wanted to stay.
  • ^2 Starting on launch night the public was asked to vote for the housemates they wanted to save from the first round of nominations. Carmela, Daniela, Diletta, Mara, and Tullio received the fewest votes and were the only housemates eligible to be nominated for eviction.
  • ^3 As Maicol received the most save votes in the public vote, he was given the power to save one person from eviction instead of nominating.
  • ^4 As new housemates, Gabriele, Mauro and Veronica were automatically immune from eviction.
  • ^5 Following last week's eviction, the public was asked to vote for the housemates they wanted to save from the second round of nominations. Camila, Cristina, Davide, Giorgio, Mara, and Sabrina received the fewest votes and were the only housemates eligible to be nominated for eviction.
  • ^6 As Alberto received the most save votes in the public vote, he was given the power to save two people from eviction instead of nominating.
  • ^7 As Carmela and Maicol received the second and third most save votes in the public vote, they were banned from nominating.
  • ^8 Davide, Giorgio and Tullio were automatically nominated for eviction by the producers. The producers then chose Diletta to be allowed to save one of the nominees and she chose to save Tullio.
  • ^9 Following last week's eviction, the public was asked to vote for the housemates they wanted to save from the third round of nominations. Camila, Cristina, Giorgio, Mara, Tullio and Veronica received the fewest votes and were the only housemates eligible to be nominated for eviction.
  • ^10 As Alberto, Maicol, and Mauro received the most votes to save they were not eligible to nominate.
  • ^11 Due to the disproportionate ratio of male to female housemates, all female housemates were given immunity in round six of nominations.
  • ^12 Following last week's eviction, the public was asked to vote for the housemates they wanted to save from the seventh round of nominations. Diletta, Giorgio, Mara, Marco, and Tullio received the fewest votes and were the only housemates eligible to be nominated for eviction.
  • ^13 In round seven, the three housemates who received the most nominations would be up for eviction as opposed to the regular two.
  • ^14 Following last eviction, the public was asked to vote for the housemates they wanted to save from the seventh round of nominations. Carmen, Cristina, Daniele, Mara, Mattia and Tullio received the fewest votes and were the only housemates eligible to be nominated for eviction.
  • ^15 In round eight, immune housemates had to nominate one male and one female housemate who was not immune.
  • ^16 In round nine, the female housemates had to each save one male housemate from a possible eviction. Daniele and Marco were the last two male housemates not to be saved which led to a second round of voting by the female housemates, this time to evict. Daniele was evicted but in fact the public had to vote to either save or evict them.
  • ^17 Following the last eviction, the public was asked to vote for the housemates they wanted to save from the tenth round of nominations. Carmen, Cristina, Daniele, Giorgio, Mara, Marco and Tullio received the fewest votes and were the only housemates eligible to be nominated for eviction.
  • ^18 Following the last eviction, the public was asked to vote for the housemates they wanted to save from the eleventh round of nominations. Carmen, Cristina, Dominique, Giorgio, and Sarah received the fewest votes and were the only housemates eligible to be nominated for eviction.
  • ^19 Following the last eviction, the public was asked to vote for the housemates they wanted to save from the twelfth round of nominations. Carmen, Cristina, Daniele, Giorgio, and Marco received the fewest votes and were the only housemates eligible to be nominated for eviction.
  • ^20 On January 2, 2010, Grande Fratello announced that Alessia and Nicola would be immune from the thirteenth round of nominations. Carmela and Massimo are immune as they are taking part in the Housemate Exchange.
  • ^21 For the fourteenth round of nominations, housemates had to nominate one female and one male housemate. Mauro was given an exemption following a public vote.
  • ^22 For the fifteenth round of nominations, the public voted for their favorite housemate to gain immunity; Mauro won the vote but the housemates were not told of this. Mauro is immune and earned the right to remove a housemate nominated for eviction. Alessia, Sarah, and Veronica received the most nominations, but Mauro decided to save Alessia leaving Sarah and Veronica to face the public vote.
  • ^23 Following Sarah's eviction on Week 13, the sixteenth round of nominations for Week 14 did not take place due to Massimo's ejection that same night. Nominations will presume next week on Week 14 for Week 15.
  • ^24 The public voted for their favourite Housemates. The six housemates with the most votes were immune from the next eviction. Alberto, Carmela, Giorgio, Maicol, Mauro and Veronica received the most public votes and gained immunity. As Alberto, Maicol and Mauro were the top three in the public vote and could each save a housemate from being nominated.
  • ^25 For the twentieth round of nominations, the male housemates each had to nomianate one female housemate while the female housemates each had to nominate one male housemate.
  • ^26 The Housemates voted for who they wanted to save. Alberto received the most votes and is through to the final. Next the public voted for who they wanted to save. The male and the female Housemates with the most votes will be saved. Mauro and Cristina received the most votes and are through to the final. Giorgio and Mara are up for eviction.
