Giovanni Marco Pitteri
Giovanni Marco Pitteri (1703–1767) was an Italian engraver of the late-Baroque period in his native Venice. He made densely incised, with nearly photographic quality shading, engraved portraits.[1] He is said to have trained under Giovanni Antonio Faldoni, and engraved in the style of Mellan.[2] He engraved a drawing of ‘’St. Phillip’’by Piazzetta, in whose studio he worked.[3] He had as one of his pupils Giovanni Domenico Lorenzi.[4]
