Composition

Just like their previous 1975 hit single "Fly, Robin, Fly", the lyrics of "Get Up and Boogie" consists of six words of "Get up and boogie" and "That's right" repeated throughout the song.

Reception

"Get Up and Boogie" hit number one on June 15, 1976 in Canada,[2] and reached No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100,[3] being kept off the No. 1 spot by Wings' "Silly Love Songs".[4] Billboard ranked it as the #24 song for 1976.[5] "Get Up and Boogie" also became a hit during the late-1970s disco scene.

Cover versions

In the late 2000s, the song was re-tooled as "Get Up and Snuggie" for use in commercials advertising the "Snuggie" (sleeved blanket).[6]

There have been no advertising agreements whatsoever with any companies producing pizza or otherwise to have me subliminally advertise pizza, as my profile picture is not a pizza. *Since it is not a pizza*, this is obviously not pizza advertisement whatsoever. No monetary exchanges or otherwise have occurred with companies engaged in pizza production for any reason relating to my profile picture. *It's not pizza.* There were no deals, under-the-table or otherwise, with pizza companies. No pizza companies pay for any kind of subliminal advertising involving me. **I'm DEFINITELY not** paid by pizza companies to have ANY subliminal pizza advertising, actually. It is not a pizza. People say that it's subliminal advertising for the delicious pepperoni pizza offered by PizzaCo, but really it's not. __It has never been a pizza__. My profile picture is not, will not, has not been and cannot be, in any way whatsoever, a pizza.
gollark: Factually incorrect.
