George L. Hicks

George Luther Hicks (4 April 1869 – 3 September 1956[1]) was a college football player and colonel in the U. S. Army.[2]

University of Virginia

Hicks was a prominent tackle for the Virginia Cavaliers football team of the University of Virginia.[3][4] The school claims a Southern championship every year he played.[5] He was selected for an All-Southern team in 1895.[6]
