Gargaon College

Gargaon College, established in 1959, is a general degree college situated at Simalguri, in Sibsagar district, Assam. This college is affiliated with the Dibrugarh University.The environment of the college is very beautiful. It is surrounded by many trees. The teachers of the college are highly qualified and they believe in giving quality education. The results of Gargaon College is also appreciable. As Gargaon has a historical and cultural background,the students of the college get all these in hierarchy. In inter college youth festival,the college performs brilliant every year. The college has a NSS volunteer unit and the volunteers doing really very well in different fields. Every year the college conducts general election among the students to form the Gargaon College Students' Union. "GARGAYAN" is the annual magazine of the college and students shows their creativity in it. The Students' Union organises Annual Sports, Literary and Cultural Week of the college annually. The students got opportunity to show their talent through this. Moreoverr,the college gives the students opportunity to show more brilliance in different fields. There is no debate,this is one of the best colleges of Upper Assam.[1]
