Francis Mossman

Francis Anthony Mossman (born 14 April 1983) is a New Zealand actor based in Australia. He is best known for his portrayal of Stevie Hughes in The Horizon and Vitus in Spartacus: Vengeance.[1]

Biography

Francis Mossman was born on 14 April 1983, in Auckland, New Zealand to Reginald Mossman and Maria Abad. He has two brothers, Jeremy and Laurence Mossman. In 2012, Mossman migrated to Sydney, Australia.

Career

Mossman appears in the New Zealand kids' series Amazing Extraordinary Friends, and the New Zealand soap Shortland Street. He also appears in three episodes of the popular Starz series, Spartacus: Vengeance.

Mossman stars as Stevie Hughes in The Horizon, the world's most viewed gay-themed web series. He reprises his role as Stevie in the television movie The Horizon, directed by Stephan Elliott. Mossman also features in the Australian feature film Ruben Guthrie.

Education

Mossman attended The University of Auckland where he earned a Bachelor of Arts double-majoring in 'Drama' and 'Film, Television and Media Studies'. He stayed on to acquire a Postgraduate Diploma of Arts (with Merit) and a Master's degree of Arts (with First Class Honours), both in 'Film, Television and Media Studies'. Mossman has also studied the Meisner technique extensively.
