Fatwa of Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad on ISIS
The Fatwa of Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad on ISIS is a fatwa, nonbinding legal opinion as per the Islamic law, issued by Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, the current Grand Mufti of India. This is the first fatwa issued against ISIS According to Ashwani Kumar writing in Khaleej Times.[1][2][3][4]

Sheikh Abubakr is currently Grand Mufti of India.[5] At the time of the fatwa, he was not elected as Grand Mufti. He is elected as Grand Mufti on the 2019 February. He also issued a fatwa one more time against ISIS[6] and other terrorist groups many times.[7]
