Under the Companies Act 1994, Fareast Islami Life Insurance Company Limited started it journey on May 29, 2000. The company subsequently listed with the Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange

Regulatory framework

Insurance Development & Regulatory Authority of Bangladesh (IDRA), an entity formed under the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority Act 2010, regulates all insurance companies of Bangladesh in accordance with the Insurance Act 2010.

Financial performance

As on 31 December 2017 the authorized capital of the company is taka 1000 million and paid up capital is taka 747.42 million.[2]
