Background

On March 1, 2019, Tunstall announced a special release of her latest album WAX, released earlier on 5 October 2018.[2] This special release included new tracks, but it was limited to only 1000 copies. The EP was released through the Indie record event Record Store Day on 13 April 2019.

The two tracks "Throw Down Boy" and "John the Conqueror" were not on the WAX album, but featured as bonus that were only available to purchase in Scotland. The "Blister in the Sun" cover is new.

"John the Conqueror" was written during the Tiger Suit sessions.[3]
