Estonian Athlete of the Year
The Estonian Athlete of the Year is chosen annually each December, since 1955. The winner is the sportsperson who is voted by a group of sports journalists, public, and sports associations, to have achieved the most that year. Since 1967, the winner is chosen in both male and female categories. Cyclist Erika Salumäe has won the award a record nine times.
