In the 1970s Erinbank Secondary College was formerly known as Westmeadows Heights High School and still occupies its original location on Erinbank Crescent, the street for which it was renamed.
It ceased to exist after a merger with neighbouring school Hillcrest Secondary College and Broadmeadows Secondary College to form Hume Central Secondary College. The number of students has doubled and there are over 2500 students at Hume Central Secondary College.
