Eintracht Frankfurt (women)

The women's football team of Eintracht Frankfurt was founded in 2004 and entered the league system in the sixth tier Bizirksliga. After some promotions it established itself in the third tier Regionalliga, missing out on promotion in the play-offs to the 2. Bundesliga once.

In 2019 talks about a merge with Bundesliga side 1. FFC Frankfurt became concrete. The pure women's football club FFC Frankfurt couldn't keep up with teams like Wolfsburg and Bayern Munich and looked for a strong partner to join forces in the Frankfurt area. For the 2020/21 season all FFC teams competed unter the Eintracht banner.[1]

A merge was announced in 2019 for the following season. gollark: I see.
gollark: Also your indentation is really weird, are you using an IDE?
